SUMMARY:YFN Port Tour - DP World London Gateway
DESCRIPTION:Have you ever wondered what happens behind the scenes at a large container port? \nInvite one of your young colleagues to join us for an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of DP World London Gateway – the UK’s most advanced port and integrated logistics hub. \nLondon Gateway’s highly productive deep-water berths are built to handle the world’s largest vessels and its state-of-the-art technology means that it can do this in the safest\, most reliable and efficient way. \nThis three-hour interactive session will cover all aspects of landside and ship-side activity\, including an outside terminal port tour to see container ships\, trucks and rail freight in operation. \nIn addition to exploring the operational element\, delegates will also leave with an appreciation of the investment taking place in an ever-changing marketplace as ships get bigger and bigger. \nThere will be an opportunity for delegates to ask questions and take part in some interactive learning as well. \nBOOK NOW \nIMPORTANT INFORMATION \n\nNumbers are restricted to 30\, so only register if you know you can make it.\nYou must bring valid photo ID for access to the port. No photo ID\, no entry!\nThis is a working port\, and attendees are expected to follow health and safety instructions.\n\n Spaces are limited – to ensure fairness to all our BIFA members\, we can only accept two bookings per company. \nThis FREE event is ONLY open to employees (under the age of 32 or new to the industry) of BIFA member companies. You can find out if your company is a BIFA member HERE. \nYour attendance is only confirmed by registering via Eventbrite. Remember to save this event in your calendar after booking a ticket.
