SUMMARY:BIFA Regional Members Meeting - Avonmouth
DESCRIPTION:Join us at the session for updates\, discuss the key issues impacting your business\, and share your views with fellow members and the BIFA team. We will also be joined by our line-up of guest speakers to provide external updates on a range of industry hot topics. \n  \nMeeting Topics\nBIFA and the City of Bristol College collaboration\nUpdates from the City of Bristol College on the actions taken so far as a result of member engagement\, and the future plans for this collaboration. \nChallenges facing the freight forwarding industry\n• We will run an instant poll to gather the top 3 challenges each member is experiencing\n• These will then be discussed and taken up by BIFA in our discussions with the government departments over the coming months \nThe redevelopment of the Heathrow cargo facilities project\nWe will discuss the outcomes and decisions from the workshops recently held with the Transit Sheds\, Hauliers\, and Freight Forwarders. Members will be asked to give their views and ideas on the progress of the project. \nWe will also be providing an update on the rollout of the AIS (Advanced Information System) and how this is impacting Heathrow airfreight landside efficiency \n  \nAdditional Meeting Topics\n• Customs\, including the Low Value Import Changes consultation with HMRC\n• Air updates\, including CAA activities and Gatwick cargo developments\n• Ocean updates\, including Bristol Port\, all the Solent Ports\, London Gateway and Felixstowe Port activities and developments\n• Rail\, and Road Policy Groups updates \n  \nRefreshments will be available throughout the meeting\, with a light lunch taking place after to give our members an opportunity to network with industry colleagues \nTo attend this meeting\, register HERE \nFor further information contact your BIFA Regional Representative\, Paul Cunningham (p.cunningham@bifa.org) \n***Regional events are open to all full and associate members only***
