SUMMARY:BIFA Member Webinar - Low Value Import Changes - HMRC Engagement Session
DESCRIPTION:HMRC invites Members to meet the HMRC Low Value Import Policy team \nIn November 2025\, the Chancellor announced at the Budget that the government will remove the de minimis duty relief on low-value imports from March 2029 at the latest. At the same time\, a consultation was launched to seek views on the technical details of implementation. \nYou may have an interest in this consultation\, and HMRC would welcome the opportunity to speak with you \nIt is important for HMRC and HMT to fully understand your views and the potential impacts of the reforms on businesses as they continue to develop the policy \nBefore attending this event it is suggested that you view the HM Treasury and HM Revenue and Customs recording of the consultation launch event for interested stakeholders held on 4 December 2025. The webinar was an opportunity to hear from officials on the purpose and scope of the consultation\, as well as some of the proposals under consideration.
