DESCRIPTION:  \n\n\n\n\nQueues at handling agents during peak times are still a reality in 2024. They tie up trucks and drivers\, cause delays in time-critical supply chains\, and cost money. \nAround the world\, technological solutions are helping solve this problem. The UK has its own answer – AIS (Advance Information System by BT CCS-UK) – that is already helping dozens of agents\, hauliers and handling agents. \nToday\, using this technology is still optional. But\, in just a few years from now\, Heathrow Cargo’s “horseshoe” will be completely developed with NO on-site truck parking. If you want to use Heathrow\, you will HAVE to use a suitable digital pre-booking system. \nThe purpose of this event is to tell you about Heathrow’s plans for its cargo terminal\, show you how AIS works\, and answer any questions you may have. \nAIS is free to CCS UK users\, and there is no commitment to join the AIS community.
