BIFA YFN – Tour of DFDS Immingham
Do you know what happens behind the scenes at the UK’s busiest Ro-Ro freight ports?
Join us for an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of DFDS Immingham’s two terminals, where you’ll gain a unique insight into the operation of one of the UK’s leading international freight gateways.
Discover how DFDS manages the seamless movement of freight between the UK, Europe and Scandinavia and how roll-on/roll-off (Ro-Ro) services operate. See how the multiple different cargo move in and out of the port efficiently, safely and sustainably and the vital role that DFDS plays in international supply chains.
The tour highlight will be boarding one of DFDS’s Ro-Ro ferries, offering a rare chance to experience first-hand how these impressive vessels transport trailers and freight across the North Sea. You’ll also see the close coordination between the vessel, terminal operations and logistics teams that keep goods flowing every day…. And don’t forget to check out the stunning views across Immingham port and Humber, too!
You can network with fellow industry professionals and meet members of the DFDS team, who will answer your questions from both a ferry and logistics perspective.
Whether you’re new to the industry or looking to broaden your understanding of port and logistics operations, this promises to be an informative and memorable visit.
