BIFA Regional Members Meeting – Avonmouth

Join us at the session for updates and discussions about the key issues impacting your business and to share your views with fellow members and the BIFA team.

We will also be joined by an outstanding line-up of guest speakers to give you external updates on a range of industry hot topics.

Guest Speakers

The redevelopment of the Heathrow cargo facilities: we are delighted to be joined by Andy Cooke, BIFA’s External Affairs Consultant to cover two key areas:

• The latest update from the Air Cargo Community Advisory Body meeting held in July, including the selection of BT’s CCS-UK AIS as the preferred landside cargo movement slot booking system
• Identifying the main challenges for each of the key stakeholders in the Landside Congestion Project

We will also be joined by Mark Bellis, BT’s Head of Strategy and Product Development, with his update on how the AIS system currently works, the plan to add functionality to optimise the landside movements for imports & export, and the benefits & implications of using AIS

During the meeting, you will also hear from Rob Hazelton, Senior Leader responsible for Development for the City of Bristol College, and Managing Director of Partners in Bristol. He will update you on the plan for BIFA and the college to develop a strong collaboration to develop skills and courses relevant to our industry

With many forwarders looking at how the rise in technology will impact the industry, we are delighted to be joined by Cameron Bell, CEO of Ewanoir, with his presentation on how and why AI is impacting freight forwarding, offering a different perspective you may not have considered before
