BIFA Heathrow YFN – Tour of Heathrow Animal Reception Centre

Come and join the YFN for a fascinating behind-the-scenes visit to the UK’s busiest gateway for animals arriving by air.

Every year, the centre receives and cares for thousands of animals, from domestic pets, horses, birds, reptiles and fish to the occasional orangutan, as they enter the UK.

The dedicated team ensures every animal travels safely and meets the UK’s import health and welfare requirements.

This exclusive tour offers members the opportunity to learn about the vital work carried out at HARC, explore the specialist facilities, and gain a unique insight into the logistics, biosecurity and animal welfare involved in transporting animals from around the world.
