HMRC invites Members to meet the HMRC Low Value Import Policy team

In November 2025, the Chancellor announced at the Budget that the government will remove the de minimis duty relief on low-value imports from March 2029 at the latest. At the same time, a consultation was launched to seek views on the technical details of implementation.

It is important for HMRC and HMT to fully understand your views and the potential impacts of the reforms on businesses as they continue to develop the policy

The webinar was an opportunity to hear from officials on the purpose and scope of the consultation, as well as some of the proposals under consideration.
