BIFA Regional Members Meeting – Heathrow
Join us at this free meeting for updates and discussions about the key issues impacting your business and to share your views with fellow members, our guest speakers and the BIFA team.

The re-development of the Heathrow cargo facilities will have a major impact on UK logistics and members. We are therefore delighted to have:
➔ Andy Cooke, BIFA’s External Affairs Consultant, who is leading our involvement in the re-development project. During his session,
Andy will update the meeting with the latest from the Advisory Body, LHR congestion & AIS rollout meeting 29th July
➔ Mark Bellis, BT’s Head of Strategy and Product Development, and Claudia Carley, Product and Customs, will present:
> How the AIS system currently works
> The plans to add functionality to optimise landside movements for imports and exports
> The implications and benefits of using AIS
This will be followed by a short, structured session of discussion and member feedback to identify further essential AIS functionality and working practices for the Landside Congestion Project. A reminder of the operational areas we will address will be sent out before the meeting, so members have time to prepare their views.
➔ National Highways Planning have been invited to join the Landside congestion discussions
We will have updates from the BIFA team on:
- The major review of the BIFA Standard Trading Conditions: areas of key changes, plans for briefing members, and why incorporation is vital
- Customs: key changes and timeline overview – 2025
- Air Freight, Road, Rail and Port updates including Dover, London Gateway, Felixstowe and DP World Southampton
- Sustainability Policy Group
- Member Engagement: scheduled events and improving member contact details accuracy and access to the BIFA website portal
- Training and Development including the new of BIFA bitesize e learning modules accessed via the BIFA portal.
- Re-energising the Heathrow Young Forwarder network.
Tea, coffee and snacks will be available before and after the meeting giving members an opportunity to network with colleagues.
